Pond preparation and fish seed stocking advice, Bharatpur

After ten years of composite carp culture I get asked the same questions often enough that I now do it as a paid service. What it covers: looking at your site, working out whether the soil will hold water, liming and manuring schedule, stocking ratio for your pond size, and where to buy fingerlings that are not stunted. One visit plus a written plan is Rs 2,500 within Bharatpur district. I will also come back once after stocking at no extra charge, because the first six weeks are where most people lose the batch. I do not sell fingerlings, so I have no reason to push you into buying more than your pond can carry.
